A tasting of some of America’s finest spirited treasures: Bonded whiskies. Distilled during one distilling season at one distillery, bonded whiskies are aged a minimum of four years in government-controlled warehouses, and bottled at a minimum of 100 proof.

Old Fitzgerald bourbon, strawberry ginger shrub, elderflower, lemon
Crisp and complex acidity, fresh ripe red fruit, floral notes, spicy ginger & rye notes
Served “up” in a cocktail glass with a strawberry slice garnish
Colonel EH Taylor Small Batch bourbon, smoked maple syrup, AZ Bitters Lab “Mas Mole bitters”
Rich tobacco notes, maple syrup, smoke, and rich chocolate-chili accents
Served stirred on a large ice cube with a rosemary & dried chile garnish
NEW YORK SOUR
Rittenhouse Rye, fresh lemon, cane syrup, malbec float
Good tanic structure, good acidity/sweetness balance, spicy/dry finish
Served on the rocks in a large old fashioned glass with a maraschino cherry lemon flag
Henry McKenna 10 yr, Maurin Quina, Branca Menta
Rich vanilla notes, bitter cherry & mint palate, some floral and herbal presence, nutty almonds
Served on a large ice cube with a mint sprig
